Challenge
 An infrastructure development project in a remote area of the Cook Islands required a reliable source of clean water for construction activities, with plans to repurpose the system for community use. The location lacked freshwater sources and grid stability, and faced harsh marine conditions with an open sea intake.

Solution
 A SolarRO SW40 Dual Unit system was selected, offering redundancy and operational flexibility. Each unit delivers 1.7 m³/h of clean water and is housed in a 20-foot container for easy transport and deployment. The system includes an open sea intake, feed pumps, suction strainers, power cabling, and spare part kits, ensuring full operational readiness. With a total power requirement of 11 kW, the setup is compatible with solar, hybrid, or generator power sources.

Impact
 The containerized dual-unit system ensured uninterrupted water production for the duration of the infrastructure project. After project completion, the same system is set to support the long-term water needs of a local village, providing a sustainable, decentralized solution with low operational demands in a remote island environment.
