Solar Water Solutions began with a simple but powerful question:
How can we turn seawater into safe drinking water using only renewable energy?

What started as one Finnish inventor’s persistent vision has grown into a family-led technology company with over 350 installations worldwide — from remote villages to island communities and other demanding environments.

In remote regions — from island communities to arid inland areas — access to clean water remains a daily challenge. Without reliable infrastructure, many communities still rely on water deliveries or struggle with low-quality groundwater sources.

Our energy-efficient systems use reverse osmosis (RO), a proven method that removes up to 99% of dissolved salts, pathogens, and other contaminants from water. Traditionally, RO systems have been energy-intensive and difficult to implement in decentralized settings. At Solar Water Solutions, we’ve changed that — turning the tide by making reverse osmosis truly energy-efficient and accessible for off-grid use.
